Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek is a short trek to western region in Nepal. This beautiful trek route is mostly inhabited by Gurungs and Magar therefore you’ll get the chance to see new cultures of the hilly region. Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
The bright blue sky in the atmosphere of Kathmandu might let you see the beautiful city from above. You’ll be landing at the Tribhuvan International Airport. Day 02: Head for Pokhara
Pokhara lies 200km west from Kathmandu. A beautiful haven for every traveller, it takes around 5-6 hours by bus or 30 minutes by air. The fare for the bus is Nrs500 per person. However, the flight cost fluctuates and can cost around 125 dollars. i.e. Nrs13000. The tourist bus leaves around 7 in the morning from Jamal.
Travelling to Pokhara by Air has both its pros and cons. The advantages are that you can reach Ghandruk this very day. Now comes the cons part, for the reason that you will be missing the Lakeside vibes in the evenings.

Day 03: Pokhara- Nayapul – Tikhedhunga – Ulleri
After having breakfast, you will take a drive to Nayapul. En route, you will pass through the flatlands of Hemja. Your Ghorepani Poon Hill trek starts from Nayapul towards Birethanti. Birethanti is at the convergence of the Modi River and Bhurungdi River. Furthermore, The hike then begins up to Sudame along the dusty road trails and reach Tikhedhunga.
Walking furthermore from Tikhedhunga, you will cross the suspension bridge and start ascending for the village of Ulleri. From Ulleri, the views of Annapurna South and Hiunchuli are scenic.
Overnight in Ulleri.
Day 04: Ulleri to Ghorepani (2850m)
After breakfast, you will meander through the forests filled with oak birch and rhododendrons. This soft trek for several hours will take you to Ghorepani. If you walk a bit further then, you will reach upper Ghorepani (Deurali). Now, You can view the Dhaulagiri and the Annapurna massifs from Deurali.
Overnight at lodge in Ghorepani.
Day 05: Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek(3210m) – Tadapani (2520m), 6-7 hrs
Here is the big day for you in Ghorepani Poon Hill trek. So, first thing in the morning is that you will have to walk for about 45 minutes to the Poon Hill. As a reward, you will set your glance on the likes of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna I, II, III, IV, Annapurna South, Gangapurna, Lamjung Himal, Barasikhar, Nilgiri, Tukuche Peak, Hiuchuli and Manaslu during the sunrise.
Firstly, Capture photos along with the memories of beautiful sunrise. Heading back to Ghorepani seems like real easy now. Having breakfast in Ghorepani, you will be back on the trail which leads you to Tadapani. Also, the trail is filled with beautiful forests and vegetations. Meandering through the woods and river-crossing, you will reach Tadapani.
Day 06: Tadapani – Ghandruk(1950m) – Nayapul to Pokhara, 6-7 hrs, 1 hr drive
Today’s walk is short and mostly involves descending through the lush forests. The sight of the Himalayas from Ghandruk is beautiful if there are no clouds to block the view. Furthermore, Ghandruk is a Gurung village which is densely settled and is a famous destination for everyone. Although destination to Ghandruk itself is a trek on its own but it also does fall in Ghorepani Poon Hill trek.

Descend unto Syauli Bazar in the banks of Modi Khola. Moreover, moving from Syauli Bazar to Birethanti, the road is flat from Syauli Bazar to Birethanti which makes it an easy walk. Here ends your Ghorepani Poon hill trek. Take a bus or Jeep to Pokhara from Nayapul.

Day 07: Pokhara to Kathmandu
Take the 7:30 AM tourist bus to Kathmandu in order to reach Kathmandu around 3 in the day. Certainly, reaching at this time will give you enough time to spend the evening in Thamel.
